Mr. M. A. Quader (Anu) was born in 1963 in Kamalpur, Noakhali, into a respected Muslim family, the youngest of eight children of the late Al Haj Abdul Matin and the late Jinnater Nessa.

He is married to Taslima Begum, and they have two sons, Ahnaf Abed and Ayman Aowsaf. Their daughter, Ayesha Farzin, tragically passed away in October 2022.

Association with Gulshan Club

during the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 when I served as Director of Finance. Together, we made significant strides in improving the club’s financial standing, a result that was only possible with the collective efforts of everyone involved.

Throughout his membership, he has served on various club committees, including Budget & Planning, Billiards & Snooker, Lamda, Patio & Colosseum, Restaurant, Café & Bakery, Security, and Public Relations. His family business, DBL, has sponsored the club’s DBL Snooker and Billiards competitions for the past 17 years, fostering new talent.

Professional Background

In 1988, Mr. Quader joined his family’s business, DBL Group, after completing his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. He currently serves as Deputy Managing Director and Group CEO. DBL Group is a diversified conglomerate with operations in Garments & Textiles, Spinning Mills, Pharmaceuticals, Ceramics, IT, and more.

He also has a passion for cricket, reflected in his ownership of the Bangladesh Premier League team, Chittagong Vikings.

Social and Community Contributions

Mr. Quader is actively engaged in social welfare initiatives. In partnership with UNICEF, he led programs like Mothers@Work for maternal and child health, and Better Business for Children for community development. With DEZ, he helped establish a Mini Fire Station for community safety. His other contributions include support for local education, health programs, tree planting, and knowledge exchange initiatives.

Mr. Quader’s dedication to business and sustainability has earned DBL Group numerous local and international awards, including recognition from the United Nations.
